Mindfulness Meditation Group

Jon Kabat-Zinn, PhD has successfully brought Mindfulness Meditation to the mainstream over the last 30+ years. The Stress Reduction Program he launched at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center has been applied successfully in many settings. An abundance of research from that program and elsewhere has indicated the value of mindfulness meditation for reducing stress and the perception of chronic pain, reducing anxiety and depression, and enhancing sensations of well-being.

I was trained in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction in 2003 by Jon Kabat-Zinn, PhD and Saki Santorelli, EdD. I have facilitated mindfulness meditation groups in Folsom.

Please call if you are interested in forming a facilitated meditation group. A group can be as small as two people, or a group can be 20 people in your department at your work site. Suggested donation is $20 per person per meeting, but if you can “pay it forward” that is certainly OK and if you can’t afford $20, then pay whatever you can afford, or nothing.
